Anonymous asked: can you tell me where I find your stydia fics?
THIS is the link to the fanfiction tab on my blog. It contains all the fanfictions I have published. The links on this page will in turn take you to the ff.net or the AO3 page respectively. Enjoy!
strangelydelusional asked: It's been awhile since I went to your blog and I noticed you have a new theme which is really nice! Also your about page is awesome and you're really pretty! Anyway I hope things are going well for you! I just ended up on your blog because I thought of Stydia and I'm still so mad that they're not canon but I have hope that they will be endgame so I'll just let the writers have it for now. It's Stydia week tomorrow so I hope that will boost the spirits in the Stydia tag though. You stay awesome!
Omg! HULLO EMMY!
Thankyou so much for the compliments! You always make me so happy with those! Gaah!
Hey, yeah. I have been on kind of a semi hiatus because I just joined college and well, different place, different people, a godforsaken triple room accommodation, also homesickness. I was taking my time adjusting in.
I HAVE YOUR PROMPT BY THE WAY! And it is super cute. And I am intending on a full blown oneshot on it. Hopefully. Yes. I will also try to complete it as soon as it is humanly possible for me to do. Which will also hopefully be soon.
Anyway. Mentioning Stydia around me nowadays tends to send me in full blown sob fests because what were they thinking with their arc in season 4? No seriously, what were they even trying to achieve? You don’t want me to go into a rant but aaah! I mean, there is this part of me that doesn’t want to complain, because you know a)it is pointless to complain and b)it makes me even more anxious but there is this other part which basically goes I WAITED SO LONG WHY ARE YOU HURTING ME JEFF??!? You feel me? As far as hopes of them being endgame goes, yeap! I still hold onto that. Because the sort of build up we’ve had, and the constant mention of them off screen and the way Stiles/Malia had been written, yeah, it seems that Stydia is very much on the table. (Seriously, try showing Divine Move to a person who has never watched Teen Wolf and then tell them that Stydia aren’t canon. I am pretty sure they won’t even believe you)
Hang on. STYDIA WEEK IS STARTING?!?! Wait, what? I didn’t even know. Wait wait. I really want to write something in the coming week for the event. God knows, the shipper in me needed the Stydia Week to happen, specially after the sort of emotional stress that season 4 left me in. I shall try to conjure up something, yes! Oh my God, thankyou for letting me know, I would have completely missed it otherwise!
Thankyou Emmy! You’re brilliant okay? You’re great!
I just realized that in POA not only does Snape teach about werewolves because he hopes someone notices Lupin’s lyncanthropy, but he also takes away Remus’ opportunity to teach about them as they should be, not as monsters, but as afflicted people.
Anonymous asked: first of all, thank you SO MUCH for writing "Weaving Fantasies". that is my absolute favourite stydia fanfiction. you are such a great writer! second of all, I don't know if you are taking prompts? if so, I woud LOVE if you write a fic based on the song "There is a light that never goes out" by The Smiths. It's such a perfect song, it makes me wanna cry everytime I listen to it. You are my favourite writer here, so it would be a honor if you could put into words this idea. (--->)
—->the song can be quite sad but it also tells an incredible love story. you are obviously free to write it the way you want, just PLEASE don’t make them die? :D so yeah, basically I just wanted to thank you again for doing this amazing job and I hope you will take my prompt. oh, and I’m @ohmystydiaheart here on tumblr :) love you! xxxx
Hey hey! Hullo!
I am so sorry for this super late response. I am a terrible person, I am sorry! Absolutely, completely sorry! I thought I would reply to this ask with your requested fic, but I am sorry and I am terrible and I also just moved into the college dorms a week ago, so I have been taking my time adjusting and getting used to the homesickness.
Long story short, I do take prompts! And I listened to the song (It is amazing thankyou for telling me about it. Bless you) I am almost done with two drabbles that I had written an eternity ago, so I will be updating those on my drabble collection which you can find here. And then I have another prompt lined up since forever, so I have to get to that. And that song is so beautiful, I will probably end up going to write a whole length oneshot on it, instead of just a drabble. Point I am trying to make here is, that I love the song, love the prompt, I do take prompts, I am going to write on it, just give me a bit of time yeah? I have a prompt lined up and college. But I will write this, I promise! As soon as I can manage it! (I am terrible, I am sorry!)
And thankyou so much for reading and appreciating Weaving Fantasies so much. It is always so great to read good reviews. And basically your words gave me such a boost and just thankyousomuch!
I hope I am able to do your prompt justice and I hope you like it!
Last weekend, four women were gang-raped in Afghanistan. They were able to identify the rapists and the trial was broadcasted live on national TV just now.
I don’t want to post the pictures but there were pictures of when the survivors identifies the rapists and they were so heart-breaking. They were taken at such good angles - you couldn’t see the faces of the women but you see their bodies and the body language says it all. The men were just lined up against a wall, powerless. The women pointed at them, some fiercely pointing to their chests, others grabbing the motherfuckers by the collar. And no one held them back. They just stood there like the pieces of shit they are.
One of the survivors was speaking, recounting the story and then identifying the rapists. You could tell, even behind the Burka, how she would tear up as she was retelling the story but she showed so much restraint and self-control and stayed put together, finished the sotry, identified the people. It’s heartbreaking that this is what they went through but her courage to come forward and speak up against them, against the odds is inspiring, humbling.
5 are getting hanged, 2 are going to prison for 20 years (I don’t know about the detailed charges against each, can’t comment further on this). Amazing how in a world that made them believe that this is okay, a world that made them believe they’d never get caught, they are sentenced to death. Perhaps they thought they’d have sometime to think of an answer between committing the rape and answering to God but that accelerated.
(PS side note, I’d be curious to see how long it’d be before someone on tumblr dot com sees the stills/videos from the trial and starts commenting on how #oppressed these rape survivors are for wearing a Burka. Completely putting aside the context or what it means to be the center of attention at that point in one’s life. For someone to come forward after such a traumatizing experience and face that trauma over and over again, not in the comfort of her home but in front of the entire nation and diaspora, in a trial that is the first of its kind in the history of the country [in the sense that it’s covered by media in this way], that takes courage - allow them the luxury of coping in privacy and reclaiming their space after it was violated so violently.)
